Hi,
I too am looking for a high quality 24 inch monitor for day trading and photographic editing. The Eizo S2431W is what I’d buy if I didn’t need three of them. They are quite pricey.
The S2401W is a TN panel, and so I am more inclined to look to NEC, Lenovo, LG, or HP for a solution.
The NEC LCD2470WNX has gotten great reviews and can be used for graphics work as it supposedly calibrates quite nicely. Or, in the USA, maybe your best bet would be the NEC 2490, which costs about the same as the Eizo S2431W, which photographers rave about.
The other monitors I’m contemplating are the HP LP2465W or HP LP2475W, as well as the LG 245WP and the new Lenovo L2440x.
It’d be great to know if you already got something and how you like it.
I need a monitor that will have great text quality, and good color reproduction without the sparkle effect like the 23″ Apple Cinema Display has from the anti-glare coating.
Regards,
David
